The organ concert which will take place at IHM on Friday, November 22, at 7 PM will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the dedication of the Russell organ, in honor of St. Cecilia, patroness of musicians. The diverse program will include music by Vincent Lubeck, 1654-1740 to as late as 1991 with a selection by Christopher Steel. Also on the program are pieces by J.S. Bach, Cesar Franck, and G. Gershwin, to name a few. The organists are William Gower-Johnson from Christ the King Church; Alastair Stout from Grace Congregational Church, and John Riddle from Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Open to the public. A free will offering to help with upkeep and maintenance of the instrument will be appreciated.
